How to choose from 500 free classes

This weekend Legacy Family Tree Webinars is opening its whole library of genealogy educational video classes to everyone for FREE in celebration of the release of its 500th webinar class. These classes are available directly from your computer.

With 500 free classes it can be overwhelming to decide what to watch in one weekend. Here are some suggestions to help you get started:

Have you done a DNA test but are confused about your DNA results? Blaine Bettinger’s 5-part course “Foundations of DNA” was created exactly for you! The course starts at the very beginning and builds your knowledge progressively.

More than a DNA beginner? Check out Legacy’s other 21 DNA courses by experts such as Diahan Southard.

Do you have Irish Ancestry? You won’t find anything better than John Grenham’s 12-part course “Foundations of Irish Genealogy.”

Are you on track to become a Certified Genealogist (CG) or need more advanced classes? Try the 23 classes available from the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG) including one from Elizabeth Shown Mills!

Are you an aspiring genealogical writer? Try Lisa Alzo’s course on Scrivener, a powerful writing tool for helping turn your ideas into reality.

Maybe you’re a fan of the Legal Genealogist  Judy Russel. Judy has  16 classes in the Legacy library.

Thomas MacEntee, a perennial favorite at Legacy, has over 40 classes in the library including his series on Microsoft Word.

And Lisa Louise Cooke has nine classes ranging from Google Earth to Evernote and much more!

A consistent favorite is Geoff Rasmussen’s Watch Geoff Live series where he teaches you not only how to research specific topics like cemetery research but also shows you how to enter them into the Legacy Family Tree Software.

There are also lots of classes on countries, states and varies ethnicities. Use the search feature at Legacy Family Tree Webinars to find exactly what interests you!

The classes will be free to everyone from Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Have fun learning!
