Google Earth 6 now available (free)
December 01, 2010
Google Earth has done it again. And this time, genealogists will be dancing with excitement.
After viewing the new Historical Imagery video for the newly-released Google Earth 6, I can't wait to start using these new tools. In Google Earth 6, you can travel back in time to see imagery from previous years.
I wonder if I can see what Asa Clark Brown's 1848 Pennsylvania home looked like before it burned. Probably not, but I will give it a try.
You can download Google Earth 6 at http://earth.google.com. Watch the Historical Imagery video below.
Everyone should keep in mind this is a //beta// version, NOT the final version. As such you may encounter problems that could in theory affect the reliability of your system. You might just want to wait for the final version.
