From the very first page you will notice that this book is much more than a boring instructional manual – it is full of real-life examples that not only teach you the right buttons to push, but it thoroughly explains how to get the most out of your favorite genealogy software program – Legacy Family Tree.

You will also learn about the latest genealogy technologies, methods of organizing your paper files, and read inspirational stories that can help lead you to one Genealogy Happy Dance after another.

After graduating with his genealogy degree, Geoff thought his days of endless writing were finally over. Little did he know how much he would enjoy writing these articles for our Legacy News blog. I just purchased the book on Friday, and it has already helped me. I had been looking for my relative George W. Shaw's (1836-1864)military record. He is listed in both Ancestry and Familysearch indexes as serving in 22nd Mississippi Infantry but he is not on Fold3. I have been searching for Rosters to verify that he was in that regiment. I finally found a page on a search engine but the page no longer existed. Having just read your book I knew I could use the Wayback machine to find the page, which sure enough I did! (and several other pages on the history of Amite County, Mississippi). Now, how do you cite a source that "doesn't exist" anymore?
