Finally, a DNA statistic I can almost understand

Thank you from Millennia, and register for the "Discover the new Legacy Family Tree 9" webinar

ThankyouTo all of our awesome Legacy users,

We would like to give thanks to all of you for making the release of Legacy 9 the most successful software release we've ever had - way more successful than we ever anticipated! It's been a week since the big announcement, and Legacy is still flying off the virtual shelves. Thank you!

Next, thank you for your patience with us as we work to fulfill your orders and respond to your emails. Not many of the 14 of us here have slept much this past week, but we are now mostly caught up. Here's where we are:

  • All free upgrade order emails have been sent. If you qualified for the free upgrade (purchased Legacy 8 from November 25, 2016 forward), and you have not yet received the email with the redemption instructions, the first place to check is in your email program's spam/junk folder. The majority of the customers we have communicated with eventually found the email there. If you have not yet done it, please add [email protected] and [email protected] to your email program's approved list.
  • We will begin shipping any shippable products (printed user's guide, CD) beginning the week of May 8. In the meantime, we invite you to install and unlock your Legacy 9 purchase using the instructions in your order confirmation email. Yep, you can begin using it right now.

Free update

Some of you have found a couple of "buglets" and have kindly reported them to us. We have corrected most of these and have issued a new update to Legacy 9. This update is free to those who have already installed Legacy 9. Click here for the latest update.

Legacy Family Tree 9 - Unlocked!

The most popular book we've ever sold (and it might just be the most popular genealogy book ever!) is the new Legacy Family Tree 9 - Unlocked! The entire book is based on Legacy 9 and helps you apply your genealogy research to Legacy. Click here for more information or to purchase. The PDF edition comes free when you purchase the printed book.

I'm thoroughly enjoying Legacy 9. First I tried the hints, which have been very helpful and there are loads of them to check. Yesterday was hashtag day. It's going to be very useful, and very easy. Next are the stories. Thank you for all the additions to an already great product.

No Geoff, the thanks goes to you and the other members of the Millennia staff. From 2002 until last fall when I heard 'same gender' recording would be added, I have been using Genbox (ceased development Nov 2007). Last fall I transferred my 12k individual database via GEDCOM to Legacy 8. I'm still 'cleaning up' my imported file.

I discovered the Legacy web site change Monday evening, April 17th. After reading the content and viewing the short video, I purchased an upgrade (I've keep a license despite not using Legacy) before 8 pm (Pacific) that evening.

I was referred to Legacy 8 by a genealogist friend. I previously used Family Tree Maker. I saw a huge learning curve at the beginning but have come to love this program. It has required me to do more than click on "Green Leaves" and move on to the next leaf. I spend more time checking the information I find and am more sure of its accuracy. I've now upgraded to Legacy version 9 and look forward to learning and perfecting the tools available. Earlier I purchased Geoff's book and together we'll forge forward in identifying ancestors. Thank you to the Legacy family for your products and willingness to work with the rest of us.
